[Calgary, Alberta] \u2013 The Association of Registrars of the Universities and Colleges of Canada (ARUCC<\/a>)<\/span> and the Pan-Canadian Consortium on Admissions & Transfer (PCCAT<\/a>)<\/span> are pleased to announce the launch of the newly revitalized ARUCC PCCAT Transcript and Transfer Guide<\/a><\/span>, an enhanced online resource designed to improve transparency, accessibility, and consistency in transcript and credit transfer processes across Canada.<\/p>

This updated Guide serves as a comprehensive national resource for post-secondary institutions, registrars, admissions officers, and students, providing up-to-date best practices, standards, terminology, and guidelines to support the seamless recognition of academic credentials.<\/p>

A Major Step Forward for Credit Mobility in Canada<\/strong><\/h3>

With post-secondary students frequently transferring between institutions, the need for clear, standardized transcript and transfer credit policies has never been greater. The revitalized ARUCC PCCAT Transcript and Transfer Guide continues to offer a central national and jurisdictional source in Canada that delivers important supports for the community.<\/p>

The Guide provides guidelines for transcript issuance, formatting, and terminology, supports best practices for recognizing prior learning and transfer credit assessments, and enhances consistency and equity in the student mobility process. Ongoing processes for content updates for the Search results will also effectively engage the system and further enhance this resource\u2019s value.<\/p>

\u201cThe original Guide launched in 2015 has provided close to a decade of support to the community, sharing accessible standards and definitions for transcripts and transfer,\u201d said Ann Marie Lyseng, Chair of the PCCAT Board of Directors and of the ARUCC PCCAT Guide Working Group. \u201cPCCAT and ARUCC worked together with funding bodies from across Canada to develop the original standards, supported by extensive engagement and input from the postsecondary community. Today, ARUCC and PCCAT, with the support of Duklas Cornerstone Consulting<\/a><\/span>, have taken the opportunity to build on this work. Together, through revitalization of the Guide, we are enhancing ease of access to search and share transcript standards and transfer terminology, supporting best practices and student mobility in Canada.\u201d<\/p>
